About Unity
Unity was launched on June 29, 2010, in the home of Pastor Young and First Lady Gale Young with seventeen faithful people. Then on August 29, 2010, after growing spiritually and numerically, Unity moved to a strip mall at 716 New Berlin Rd, Jacksonville, FL. 32218 on September 5, 2010.
While remaining faithful to our Lord, Jesus Christ, and serving the Oceanway Community, Unity continued to grow and was blessed on June 20, 2014, to purchase 3.79 acres of land with a condemn 800 sq ft home on the property. The Church voted to renovate the existing building and began a six-month renovation project that expanded the building to 2,100 sq. ft with a vaulted sanctuary.
Three years later, God blessed us to add a needed additional 880 sq. ft. in June 2017. Then in March 2019, Unity bought two steel framed 900 sq ft modules and was given a half-acre of land that parallel with our existing property and experienced another renovation project which was completed
May 2019. These modules hold our Kid Zone and Middle / High School students to foster wholistic learning tailored to their needs.
Unity uses the term “Teams” and “Partners” to identify individual ministries and members to promote relationship building and accountability, thereby connecting to God and Others.
